-- Esther Ellis was living at the time of Joseph's death in 1785. Joseph's will specifically directs that his plantation be sold in auction upon his death to finance his family in a move to the "back country", most likely GA. Within the year, most of the Ellis family, headed by son Levin Ellis, had migrated to Green and Hancock Co. GA. Since the 6 youngest children were under age, it is highly likely that Esther accompanied her children in this move, in which case she may have lived out her life in GA.
