FRIZZELL Mystery One:

Who is Bryant Frizzle of Washington Co. GA? This is the same county that Tomas Frizzell Sr. was from. The children of this Bryant Frizzle qualified to receive draws from the 1805 GA Land Lottery. We do not know how many children there were.

We are pretty sure that the Elishaba, Gale and Thomas FRIZZELL are the FRIZZELL family that migrated from Lancaster Co. SC in 1800. Thomas Sr. and his wife Elishaba FRIZEL sell land in 1799 and 1800. One of the last land transactions in early 1800 calls him Thomas FRIZZEL of GA. The Elishaba listed in the 1805 GA Land Lottery must be Thomas's wife, Elishabe, named in the GA land transactions. By 1805 she must be widowed in order to participate in the lottery. The Gale and Thomas FRIZZELLs listed in the GA Land Lottery along with Elishaba, are probably her sons. Gale being married with children in order to receive two draws and Thomas being single to qualify for one draw. However, we cannot rule out that they could have been brothers or cousins to Thomas, deceased. An in depth study of the Lancaster Co. SC FRIZZELLS will eventually sort this question out.
